The Animal Disaster Team (ADT) was recently deployed to Ohey to address an especially alarming situation. By mobilizing all of its expertise and commitment, our team took care of several dogs and cats living in dramatic conditions.

One evening, our team responded urgently to save a roe deer struck by a motorist. After a quick and secure intervention, the animal was transported to Creaves de Perwez to receive the necessary care. The surprise came when we discovered she was expecting a fawn. A few days later, we learned that both the roe deer and her fawn were doing well and ready to return to freedom. This double rescue illustrates our daily commitment to animal welfare and the strength of solidarity.

This weekend, our team intervened in Seneffe following an alert from the Mariemont police to rescue two stray German Shepherds. While the police secured the first dog, the second, panicked, had taken refuge in a water drain. Thanks to the expertise and patience of our responders, it was safely extracted. A big thank you to the local police for their valuable collaboration; both dogs are now out of danger.

Faced with a critical situation, the ADT team intervened urgently to save four pitbulls in distress. Undernourished, chained, and locked in cages, these dogs were suffering from severe untreated skin issues. Thanks to the alert from the person responsible for their care, the authorities were quickly mobilized. The animals were then taken into care and transferred to partner shelters where they will receive the essential care for their recovery.
