ADT INTERVENES FOR A FOX TRAPPED IN A NECK SNARE

Last weekend, a distressing situation in Ciplet mobilized the Animal Disaster Team (ADT). Upon arrival, they discovered a fox, visibly weakened, trapped in a neck snare. These cruel devices, illegal in Wallonia, caused the fox considerable suffering.

Despite the team's best efforts, the fox did not survive the transfer to the Andenne CREAVES. This tragic event underscores the immense suffering inflicted by these traps, which often lead to slow, agonizing deaths. Furthermore, neck snares are non-selective, posing a risk to all wildlife.

The ADT tirelessly rescues trapped animals and strives to raise awareness about the devastating consequences of such inhumane practices. If you encounter these illegal traps, act swiftly by contacting the local police and DNF at 1718, menu 2.
