Emergency Intervention in Waterloo: A Chance for Diego

Recently, our Animal Disaster Team (ADT) was mobilized at the request of the Waterloo Police Zone to assist an animal in distress. The call reported an elderly, visibly frail cat curled up in a garden hedge, appearing lost and disoriented.

Our team immediately rushed to the scene, approaching with caution and gentleness to avoid further stressing the animal. The cat, whom we affectionately named Diego, showed clear signs of weakness. His behavior suggested possible poisoning or a serious health issue.

Once secured, Diego was entrusted to the Sans Collier association, which promptly transferred him to a veterinary clinic. Initial tests raise suspicions of poisoning, and Diego was urgently hospitalized to receive the necessary care.

🙏 Heartfelt thanks to the local police teams, our dedicated volunteers, and the veterinary partners for their quick response, effectiveness, and shared commitment to animal welfare.
