A sow spent seven years confined in a small cage, without any care, which severely impacted her health. Her nails were so long that she struggled to stand, she became overweight and weakened. Since Tuesday, she has been receiving the necessary care to recover in a suitable environment. Although the road to recovery will be long, we remain hopeful.

ADT recently intervened alongside Sans Collier following an urgent rescue of Pyrenean Mountain Dogs in Tienen, organized by Animal Welfare and the police. The animals were found in inhumane conditions, locked in overcrowded cages and starving. Deprived of food for several days, some had even ingested plastic and stones to survive.

Our teams, in collaboration with the firefighters of Philippeville, rescued a kitten trapped in sewer pipes. After careful work, it was safely freed. Following an examination by a veterinarian, the kitten was entrusted to a shelter, and the family who reported it decided to adopt it. It now receives all the love and comfort it deserves in its new home.

Our teams responded urgently to rescue a roe deer seriously injured after a dog attack. The animal had deep wounds on its head and ears and was transferred to the CREAVES center in Perwez for necessary care. We thank our partners and supporters who make these rescues possible, giving wildlife in distress a second chance.

The Animal Disaster Team (ADT) intervened in Charleroi alongside the police following complaints about cats abandoned without water or food in an unsanitary house. On-site, 15 cats were found, 6 of which were already dead. The 9 survivors, severely dehydrated and malnourished, were transferred to partner shelters to receive necessary care. Unfortunately, one of the cats did not survive, and the remaining 8 are still in critical condition. The intervention was triggered after a neighbor rescued a cat that had become trapped while trying to escape through a window.

ADT teams responded urgently to rescue a 32-year-old horse trapped in mud and suffering from severe hypothermia. Due to its critical condition, euthanasia was chosen to end its suffering. Another horse, Seven, also in poor health, was rescued and relocated urgently to the Tabula Rasa sanctuary, giving the animal a chance at recovery and improved living conditions.
