Rescue of Pyrenean Mountain Dogs in Tienen
Animal Welfare, in collaboration with the police, recently coordinated an urgent rescue in Tienen, where several Pyrenean Mountain Dogs were discovered in inhumane conditions. Our ADT teams were quickly mobilized to provide assistance.
The animals, found in overcrowded cages, were starving and abandoned to their sad fate. They had been deprived of food for several days, with some even resorting to eating plastic and stones in a desperate attempt to survive. Infected wounds were also observed, highlighting the severity of their situation.
Thanks to a quick and effective intervention, all the dogs were transferred to various shelters. This gives them a chance to regain a safe and dignified life. Sans Collier has taken in 13 of these dogs, who are now in good hands. They will receive the necessary medical care and attention to recover from the horrors they have endured.
