When a call from the CREAVES center in Ransart alerted us to a bird in distress in Mons, our volunteer teams immediately mobilized. On site, a seagull was found in critical condition — covered in blood and with a wing that was likely fractured.

Recently, our ADT – Animal Disaster Team – was called to Overijse following a report of a fox in distress behind a car showroom. The animal, limping slightly and visibly weakened, had taken refuge under several vehicles, causing concern among the employees.

Some rescue missions require both calm nerves and a delicate touch. That’s exactly what our Animal Disaster Team (ADT) faced during a recent intervention in Perwez.

A few days ago, an attentive walker made an unexpected discovery in the stunning setting of the Abbey of Villers-la-Ville: a young Eurasian eagle owl (Bubo bubo) was on the ground, unable to fly.
Clearly in distress, the bird required immediate intervention.

On July 6, 2025, the Animal Disaster Team (ADT) was called in at the request of the Jemeppe-sur-Sambre Police for a delicate animal rescue operation in a severely neglected home.
The intervention followed the hospitalization of the resident, who suffers from Diogenes syndrome—a condition marked by the extreme accumulation of objects and waste.

On Monday evening, a citizen in Florennes witnessed a deeply shocking act of cruelty. Two kittens were heartlessly thrown from a moving car.
While one of them was quickly rescued by the witness, the other—more fearful—ran off into the nearby woods, causing great concern.

Firefighters were alerted immediately and did everything they could to locate the kitten, but without success. Given the urgency, they called in our specialized Animal Disaster Team for help.
