On a Tuesday evening, our team was alerted to an unusual situation that led us to the site to assist Xena, a very skittish sheep in distress. Here’s how this meaningful and humane intervention unfolded.

It all began when we were contacted to help Xena, a sheep wandering the streets of Ramilies after an attempted theft. Malicious individuals had cut the fences on her property, sending Xena into a state of intense panic and causing her to flee. Her story, marked by a difficult past, immediately moved us and motivated us to act swiftly to help.

A Careful and Secure Intervention

Upon arriving at the scene, our top priority was to secure the area. After locating Xena in a small garden where she had taken refuge, we carefully put measures in place to prevent any further escape. With great patience and exemplary calm, our team managed to gently capture the sheep. Every move was guided by the need to respect her stressed state and offer her a reassuring environment.

A Return to Peace

Once Xena was safely on board our truck, we continued our efforts to provide her with the best possible care. She was brought to a specially prepared location where she could regain a sense of security. While waiting for her home to be secured again, Xena was able to join a few companions, gradually finding a bit of calm amidst the turmoil.
