Two dogs rescued from a nightmare

Following an urgent call from UBEA, the Animal Disaster Team (ADT) recently stepped in to handle a critical situation.
The mission led us to a home whose owner had just been hospitalized. Behind the door of that house: two dogs living in unimaginable conditions. The environment was completely unsanitary, filled with waste and excrement. The animals had seemingly never set foot outside. No daylight, no fresh air… only fear, loneliness, and neglect.
When we arrived, the two dogs were terrified, trapped in their isolation. Their fear of the outside world was palpable. And yet, in that moment of confusion, they spontaneously sought refuge in our arms, as if they knew the nightmare was finally over.
Thanks to close collaboration with the La Croix Bleue shelter in Floriffoux, the dogs were immediately taken into care. And that’s when the miracle began.
Their eyes lit up. Their tails began to wag. They discovered, for the first time, fresh grass under their paws, clean air, and the space to breathe and play. A rebirth. A new beginning.
