ANIMALS RESCUED AGAIN FROM SAME ADDRESS IN ORP-JAUCHE
Our teams were once again called to intervene at an address in Orp-Jauche, where a major seizure had already taken place around three years ago, involving a wild boar, a serval, Bengal cats and birds, among other animals. Although the resident had been banned from keeping animals following that incident, vigilant neighbours discovered that animals were once again being kept in alarming conditions. After contacting the inspector in charge of the case and involving the police, the authorities were able to intervene legally.
At the property, rescuers found five Belgian Malinois dogs, two cats and a rabbit living in appalling conditions. The animals were extremely emaciated, with some suffering from severe cachexia. Bones belonging to deceased animals were also discovered on the premises, further highlighting the extent of the neglect.
To prevent further suffering, all eight animals were immediately removed from the property and transferred to specialised animal shelters. There, they are now receiving the medical care and attention they need to recover. Thanks to the dedication of shelters including GRIFF, Sans Collier, l’Arche de Noé, Natur’Horse and the SPA of Mouscron, the animals can now begin their journey towards recovery.
