UNEXPECTED RESCUE OF INJURED CAT IN SOMBREFFE
While travelling to a planned rescue operation, a rescue team spotted an injured cat lying in the middle of the road in Sombreffe, near the Dock junction. The animal had apparently been hit by a car shortly before. Although other motorists continued driving around the injured cat without stopping, the team did not hesitate. They immediately moved the animal to safety and took it into their care.
The injured cat was then rushed to Malcourant Veterinary Clinic, where the veterinary team was ready to provide urgent medical treatment. To respond to this unexpected emergency, the volunteers had to rearrange their schedule on the spot. Thanks to their quick coordination and strong team spirit, they were able to ensure that both the injured cat and all other urgent interventions scheduled for that morning received the attention they needed.
An examination revealed that the cat was not microchipped, making it difficult to identify its owner. The rescue team is therefore appealing to anyone who may recognise the animal or know who it belongs to. The organisation stresses that no animal in distress should ever be left behind, whether a rescue is planned or unexpected. Anyone who believes the cat may be theirs is encouraged to get in touch.
