Rescue operation at Héronnière pond!

This Monday, Animal Disaster Team (ADT) was mobilised by the Royal Belgian League for the Protection of Birds (LRBPO) to assist an injured mother swan at Héronnière Pond.

Thanks to efficient planning and coordination, the bird was safely captured. Upon examination, she was found to have severe injuries to her neck and beak, likely caused by a bite.

The good news is that the swan was immediately transferred to the LRBPO, where she has already received antibiotic treatment. Her prognosis is encouraging.

Once she has fully recovered, she will be able to return to her family and resume her place on the pond.
