In a rapid rescue mission, the Animal Disaster Team (ADT) teamed up with Help Animals to save around thirty sheep left in terrible conditions in Dilbeek.

Animals in distress

These sheep, victims of neglect, were in a critical condition:

  • Scabies infestation: A painful and highly contagious condition.
  • Severe malnutrition: Some also suffered from diarrhea, a clear sign of critical health issues.

In this situation, quick action was essential to ensure their survival.

Thanks to excellent teamwork between the ADT teams and their partners, all the sheep were safely rescued. They have been cared for and placed in various shelters and specialized centers:

  • Help Animals
  • Silence animal
  • Vogel- en Zoogdierenopvangcentrum Heusden-Zolder

These organizations are now providing them with the necessary medical care and a safe environment for their recovery.

A powerful reminder of what we can achieve together

This rescue highlights the importance of solidarity and quick action in the face of animal suffering. Every team member and volunteer played a vital role in transforming the lives of these animals in need.
