A buzzard found grounded and vulnerable

A buzzard was reported lying motionless on the ground, unable to fly. In situations like this, wild birds are particularly vulnerable and can quickly find themselves in danger.

After receiving the alert, ADT teams rapidly intervened to secure the bird and assess its condition.

Safe and rapid care

On site, the teams carried out a careful and appropriate capture, ensuring the buzzard could be placed in safety while minimising stress and the risk of further injury.

The priority was to ensure the bird received specialised care as quickly as possible.

Transfer to a specialised wildlife centre

Following the rescue, the buzzard was transported to the CREAVES wildlife rescue centre in Virelles, a facility specialising in the care and rehabilitation of wild animals.

There, the bird will be examined, treated and monitored by experienced professionals who will determine the cause of its condition and develop an appropriate rehabilitation plan.
