A roaming animal in a high-risk area

Several reports were received concerning a pig wandering freely in Jamagne, near a road and railway tracks.

The situation posed a significant danger, both to the animal and to road and rail users. A rapid intervention was therefore necessary to prevent a potentially serious accident.

At the request of the Dinaphi Fire Department, the police and the City of Philippeville, ADT teams were mobilised to capture the animal and secure the area.

A particularly challenging environment

The operation proved technically complex. The intervention area was large, steep, marshy and wooded, making movement and access to the animal especially difficult.

In this type of environment, every manoeuvre must be carried out carefully to prevent the animal from fleeing into even more dangerous areas.

A successful rescue through teamwork

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the teams on the ground and the effective support of the police, the animal was successfully secured after several minutes of intervention.

The pig was then placed in safety, bringing an end to a potentially dangerous situation for both the animal and the users of the nearby infrastructure.
