INJURED BUZZARD RESCUED FROM A HORSE PASTURE IN KESTER

At the request of VOC SOS Wilde Dieren, our teams came to the aid of an injured buzzard that had been in a horse pasture for several days. The bird was no longer able to fly and was moving around on the ground between a mare and her foal, putting it at serious risk of being trampled.

Our teams managed to capture the bird swiftly and bring it to safety. It was then discovered that the buzzard had suffered several fractures to one of its wings. The bird was immediately transferred to VOC SOS Wilde Dieren for the specialised care and rehabilitation it needed.

We hope that, after making a full recovery, the buzzard will once again be able to spread its wings and return to the wild.
