A Further Step Forward in the Protection of Animals in Emergency Situations
On October 4, during World Animal Day, an important step was taken to protect animals in emergency situations. The Animal Disaster Team (ADT) signed its first agreement with the governor of the Province of Namur, Denis Mathen.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone: the Province of Namur is the first to officially partner with ADT to strengthen animal care during critical situations such as fires, floods, and emergency evacuations.
The partnership aims to establish effective coordination between ADT and local authorities, enabling faster and more organized interventions to protect animals during disasters. By reinforcing this cooperation, ADT hopes to minimize risks and ensure better care and management of animals at times when their safety is threatened.
ADT warmly thanks the Province of Namur and Governor Denis Mathen for their trust and commitment to animal welfare.
This partnership represents a significant step forward in animal protection and could serve as a model for other regions to follow in the future.
