EMERGENCY RESCUE IN MALONNE: SERIOUSLY INJURED CAT SAVED FROM A CRAWL SPACE
A critical situation reported in Malonne
ADT was contacted regarding a stray cat that had been seriously injured during a fight. The animal was suffering from a severe degloving injury to her tail and had hidden in a crawl space to protect herself.
Given the seriousness of her condition, a rapid intervention was essential to secure the cat and ensure she received veterinary treatment as quickly as possible.
An initial search without success
The teams immediately travelled to the location to search for the injured cat.
A cat was indeed found on site... but it was not the one that had been reported. Despite a thorough search of the area and several checks, the injured female cat remained nowhere to be found.
It was only the following day that she reappeared, finally allowing the teams to intervene.
Urgent veterinary care
The cat was safely secured and quickly transferred to the veterinary clinic in Erpent, in cooperation with the city of Namur, so that she could receive the necessary treatment.
Due to the severity of her injuries, a tail amputation unfortunately proved necessary to save her life and prevent more serious complications.
Recovery under close supervision
Today, this little survivor is gradually recovering from her ordeal.
Her rehabilitation is continuing at INNI, where she is receiving all the care, attention and comfort she needs to regain her strength.
The hope now is to find her a loving forever home where she can enjoy the stability, safety and affection she deserves.
