The Animal Disaster Team (ADT) was mobilized for an emergency mission in Lasne.

After being contacted by the Mazerine Police Zone, we rescued a deer that had been severely injured in a collision with a vehicle.

As soon as the call came in, an ADT team was dispatched to assess the situation and take action. Our top priorities were to secure the animal, minimize its stress, and ensure a safe transfer to the CREAVES center in Perwez. This specialized facility provides the necessary care, and we hope the deer will eventually be released back into its natural habitat.

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to the Mazerine Police Zone for their vital collaboration in this rescue.

Roads: An Invisible Threat to Wildlife

Every year, countless wild animals fall victim to road collisions. As drivers, we can play a crucial role in protecting them. Here are a few tips to make our roads safer:

  • Adjust your speed in wooded or rural areas, as these are common crossing zones for wildlife.
  • Be extra vigilant at dawn and dusk when animals are most active.
  • Be ready to brake if you spot an animal near the road—wildlife behavior is often unpredictable.

By adopting these simple habits, you can save lives, reduce accidents, and contribute to preserving biodiversity.
