Emergency Rescue: Crucial Intervention for 4 Pitbulls in Distress
When a critical situation arises, every minute counts. With this in mind, our Animal Disaster Team (ADT) responded urgently to a call from the Animal Welfare Unit. Faced with four pitbulls confined in alarming conditions, our intervention helped prevent their suffering from worsening further.
An Alarming Situation
These four dogs were in an untenable situation:
- Undernourished
- Chained outside
- Locked in cages
They suffered from severe untreated skin issues, indicative of a lack of care and compassion. The person responsible for their care, following the owner’s incarceration, made the courageous and wise decision to alert the authorities. This response was crucial for ensuring that these animals received the timely and appropriate care they desperately needed.
Aware of the urgency, the ADT teams quickly mobilized to secure and transport these animals to environments that would support their recovery — specifically to Animal Sans Toit, Animal Sans Logis, and the SRPA. These pitbulls will now receive the medical care and attention they deserve.
Every intervention is an opportunity for us to remind people of the importance of vigilance and solidarity for animals in distress. We are proud to rely on the dedication of passionate and committed volunteers, always ready to intervene 24/7 across Belgium.
