Delicate rescue in Perwez: starling freed from a wood-burning stove
The call we received that day was far from ordinary: a starling had found its way into a wood-burning stove and ended up trapped in a narrow, dark, and dangerous space. Disoriented and unable to free itself, the bird was at serious risk of injury—or worse.
Our team was urgently dispatched and arrived on site as quickly as possible. As with all our missions, every move was guided by skill, precision, and compassion. Thanks to a careful and well-coordinated intervention, the small bird was safely extracted without a single scratch.
Once freed, the starling was taken to CREAVES in Perwez, where it is now receiving the care it needs to recover. If all goes well, it will soon be released back into its natural habitat.
Every intervention is different, but they all share the same goal: to help animals in distress—regardless of their species or the complexity of the situation. This mission in Perwez is yet another example of the value and responsiveness of our emergency rescue system.
