Cat trapped beneath kitchen unit

Following an eviction in Hainaut, several cats were left behind in a home without food or water. In the middle of a period of extreme heat, their condition deteriorated rapidly. While most of the cats were quickly rescued, one panicked and became firmly trapped beneath the kitchen unit.

The Animal Disaster Team (ADT) was called in to free the animal. As the cat was completely out of reach, parts of the kitchen had to be dismantled with extreme care and precision. Thanks to the team’s swift and cautious approach, the cat was safely reached within minutes.

Emergency care at the shelter

The cat was severely dehydrated and weakened by the heat and lack of water. Thanks to the smooth cooperation with GRIFF, the animal was immediately transferred to SPA La Louvière, where it received urgent medical care and fluids.

No animal deserves to be abandoned and left to fend for itself. Thanks to the support of animal lovers, ADT, local emergency services and animal shelters can continue working together to save lives.
