Following a request from the Boraine Police, ADT teams quickly responded to reports of a goat roaming dangerously close to a canal and multiple major roads. The situation posed an immediate threat, both to the animal itself and to road users.

The intervention area proved particularly challenging, with slippery ground in some places, varying visibility and heavy traffic nearby. In these conditions, every minute counted to prevent the goat from falling into the canal or causing a traffic accident.

Although the animal initially appeared calm, it turned out to be far more agile and energetic than expected, requiring rescuers to exercise extra caution and coordination before they could safely secure it.

Thanks to the quick response, experience and expertise of ADT’s volunteers, as well as the use of specialised equipment, the goat was eventually captured without injury, with full respect for its welfare and the safety of everyone involved.

The animal was then transferred to a rescue shelter, where it is now receiving the care it needs. We hope it will soon find a responsible and loving home.

ADT would like to sincerely thank the Boraine Police for their excellent cooperation and support throughout this intervention. Together, we continue to work for the safety and protection of animals, even in the most challenging situations.
