During major construction work at a site in Binche, a small turtle found itself in danger, putting its survival at risk. After the situation was quickly reported, the teams of ADT – Animal Disaster Team – immediately mobilised. Equipped with the necessary gear for operations in aquatic environments, our responders headed to the site to rescue the pond’s small resident.

The rescue was not expected to be easy. The pond was difficult to access and visibility was almost non-existent. Despite these challenging conditions, our teams methodically searched the area, carefully inspecting every corner in an effort to locate the animal.

After several minutes of meticulous searching, the turtle was found and safely secured. It has since been relocated to a more suitable environment, ensuring its protection and long-term survival.
